Culmhead House was built in 1850 and still retains the air of a grand English country manor house. During WW2 it was occupied by American forces posted at the Culmhead Air Base nearby, but today it's a family house and B&B with an elegant but homely atmosphere.
Wander the gardens and lawns - perfect for a barbecue - or play with the kids on the trampoline and swings. The woods also have lots of places to sit and relax. There are great activities and restaurants within 30 minutes of the B&B and the helpful hosts are happy to offer advice on where to visit or eat.
