More about Bembridge

Bembridge is a village and civil parish on the Isle of Wight, best known for its fishing. Choose a bed and breakfast in Bembridge and settle in to enjoy cliff top walks, fresh sea food, beautiful beaches and a relaxing break.

While it attracts quite a few tourists each year, Bembridge is not a typical seaside town. Life in the town centres around the harbour,  and it is home to two sailing clubs and the island’s largest angling club. The area is also popular with sailing enthusiasts and travelling yachtsman, who often stop off for a while to enjoy the best of the Isle of Wight. For those keen on fishing or eager to give it a try, a Bembridge b and b  is a great choice. Frequent fishing trips out to sea are run from Bembridge Harbour, so you can have a go at catching your own dinner. If you don't succeed, not to worry - the local restaurants are renowned for the fresh seafood and crab that they serve.

There are a number of lovely beaches close to the village to suit everyone -  from quiet pebble beaches to Bembridge Beach, which has small rock pools where the children can play and is also popular with anglers. If you're a walker searching for a cheap Isle of Wight bed and breakfast Bembridge is ideal. There are some fabulous walks to enjoy in the area, as well as plenty of nature trails to follow.

Combine a scenic walk with a visit to the Grade II Listed Brembridge Windmill, which is the last remaining windmill on the Isle of Wight. The three and a half mile Culver Trail is one of the best nature trails on the island. This circular walk starts and ends at the windmill, leading you along a pathway that runs through the wonderful wild-flower filled woodland of Steyne Wood, where you might be lucky enough to glimpse an elusive red squirrel, and on out to the Culver Cliffs, passing several pubs along the way where you can stop for a refreshing drink.

From your B&B in Bembridge you can also enjoy local historical sights and find out more about the area's history with a visit to the Bembrige Heritage Centre. There is also a great selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants where you can fill your days and nights. If you're in search of a relaxing coastal B&B Bembridge is the perfect spot.
